Catcher in the Rye (most interesting)
The relationship between Holden and Sally Hayes really interested me. At first Holden called up Sally to see a play with her. Then while watching he got really upset with her for talking to her other friend. Then out of nowhere, while eating, he asked her to go up to Vermont with him and then they would get married and live up in Vermont. Then after she says that the plan was ridiculous he gets really mad at her, and lets out all of his anger. When he was done letting out his anger he then tried to console her to make her feel better. Holden was just all over the place during this time period.
Catcher in the Rye (2nd half)
After I had finished the book I was a little disappointed with ending. I was expecting all these events to lead up to something. All I got was a girl riding on a carousel. THAT was the ending?! I was hoping he would actually go off to Colorado and he would get a house out there. That would have been alot more interesting. The middle of the book was actually very interesting and kept me glues to my seat, but the ending was a real letdown.

Catcher in the Rye (1st half)
I really did enjoy the first half of the book. It was really interesting to learn about the travels and school life of Holden Caulfield. While he was in New York Holden had some really cool adventures. The most interesting part i found about Holden was that he always wanted someone to talk to, this was evident when he always wanted to call someone up. Also, sometimes he enjoyed a intelligent conversation, although he was flunking out of school. In heart Holden is also a very good kid, and can understand peoples feelings. He even donated money to nuns who were collecting for charity.
