Catcher in the Rye (1st half)
I really did enjoy the first half of the book. It was really interesting to learn about the travels and school life of Holden Caulfield. While he was in New York Holden had some really cool adventures. The most interesting part i found about Holden was that he always wanted someone to talk to, this was evident when he always wanted to call someone up. Also, sometimes he enjoyed a intelligent conversation, although he was flunking out of school. In heart Holden is also a very good kid, and can understand peoples feelings. He even donated money to nuns who were collecting for charity.

I agree with you that Holden is constantly looking for conversation. I also thought it was interesting his experience with different people and schools. Did you think it was wierd how after he was expelled he didn't leave right away
