Catcher in the Rye (2nd half)
After I had finished the book I was a little disappointed with ending. I was expecting all these events to lead up to something. All I got was a girl riding on a carousel. THAT was the ending?! I was hoping he would actually go off to Colorado and he would get a house out there. That would have been alot more interesting. The middle of the book was actually very interesting and kept me glues to my seat, but the ending was a real letdown.

I totally agree with that. The book seemed to be getting interesting and leading to a climax and then it just stops and loses its excitement. All these things seemed to be building up and then he ends by talking about Phoebe riding on the carousel. I mean, he didn't even talk to Jane at all during the novel, even though he also said how much he wanted to. Nothing that I was expecting or wanting to happen at the end did. It was a big letdown.
